We are looking for GP locum Maternity cover, starting May 2024 6 sessions per week, until July 2024, this role would be perfect for newly trained GPS! We are flexible with sessions to be completed

What is it like to work at Grange Medical Practice

Grange Medical Practice is a training practice caring for 8,000 patients and are lead practice for two care homes. We are a team of 8 GP's (4 partners, 2 salaried, and 2 GP trainee's) benefiting from daily coffee breaks and strong teamwork. We are a very functioning and effective team with our allied health professionals including practice nurses, admin/receptionists and integrated primary care pharmacists.

We are situated within an affluent area of Edinburgh. Due to location with fantastic transportation links. We also have a car park for our doctors. We are a VISION/DOCMAN practice, working from a central server in the building and laptop connectivity, which allows remote working if needed.

Our primary care pharmacist team are fantastic - as well as being lovely, they reduce GP workload by reconciling discharge letters automatically, are involved in acute prescription requests, and liaise with patients and specialists about any medicine enquiries effectively and efficiently.

Our skilled receptionist team are trained our receptionists in DOCMAN workflow management systems to allow efficient and automatic filing, coding and administration which reduces GP DOCMAN tasks; and, also enhanced signposting which facilitates patients seeing the right person at the right time.
