Greater Glasgow and Clyde Driving Service - Driver (Gartnavel)

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included. 

The shift pattern for this position is Thursday and Friday 0800 - 1600.

(Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.

You will be responsible for driving vehicles up to 3.5tonnes in the transport of goods, supplies and patients throughout NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde.  Working every Thursday and Friday between 0800 1600

Duties include but are not restricted to:

• Laundry / Specimen / Clinical  Waste/ Stores/mail/medical records collection and distribution
• Site security checks
• Escort duties

• Follow work schedules as instructed
• Report any faults to supervisor
• Use equipment only as instructed
• Work in a safe manner and give consideration to others around you
• Ensure all statutory and Divisional procedures are followed
