Full Job Description

At Sodexo in your role of Grounds person at Queen Anne High School - Dunfermline, you will work with a team that encourages and promotes advancement within the company. Excellent people skills are essential for this position allowing you to build and develop relationships with both team members and site visitors, as well as, most importantly, to have an influence on people through your daily actions. What you'll do:

  • Maintenance of all machinery.

  • Annual Refresher Training.

  • Grass Cutting.

  • Grass strimming.

  • Hedge Trimming.

  • Shrub and tree pruning.

  • Removal of weeds and litter from beds, plant containers, pathways and grassed areas.

  • Laying out and planting bedding.

  • Fine turf maintenance.

  • The marking out and preparation of sports pitches.

  • Digging and mulching.

  • The watering of plants, beds and plant containers.

  • The collection and removal of waste arising from such activities.

  • Gritting and snow clearing.

  • Emptying of external waste bins.

    Driving licence

  • Disclosure Scotland clearance

  • Work with a team and as a lone worker

  • Reliability

  • Flexibility

  • Spraying licence PA1, PA2 & PA6

  • Previous grounds experience

  • Good communication skills
