Head of Procurement

Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Director, you will collaborate closely with Senior Leadership including procurement and from other business units, leveraging each other's strengths to drive collective success. You will represent Devro within the SARIA Food & Pharma Procurement Management team, which recently launched a program to accelerate in further professionalism Procurement across SARIA Food & Pharma and its Business Units.
As Head of Procurement in Devro, you will oversee the procurement teams in our 5 manufacturing sites which includes Australia, Czech Republic, China, UK and the USA.
This opportunity presents a unique opportunity to contribute to the establishment of the SARIA Food & Pharma Procurement Strategy while ensuring harmony with Devro's Business Unit Specific Requirements.
Responsibilities
@ Development and implementation of appropriate Procurement Strategy including processes and policies that cost effectively ensures security of supply and ensures Procurement conditions and contracts are fully utilised
@ Pro-actively collaborate with the Divisional and Business Unit HOPs and Global Category Managers on creating Global Procurement Strategies, Guidelines, Standards and drive continuous improvement.
@ Development of a clearly defined sourcing structure at regional and local level in line with Divisional guidelines and input from Global Category Management to facilitate all relevant Procurement development and Purchasing / Buying transactions
@ Lead, motivate and coach global teams, driving a culture of positivity through continuous improvement, solid negotiation capabilities, and development of the procurement team capabilities
@ Implementation of a robust Master Data management process for purchased items which allows development of improved reporting capabilities at Business Unit & Divisional level
@ Execution of Business Unit specific Sourcing and contracting Projects
@ Responsible for ongoing supplier relationship management - including categorisation of suppliers (Partner, Key, Support), expectation setting, KPI's, performance and compliancy monitoring.
@ Review, continuous improvement and influence supplier investment, technology development and use of supplier resources to directly benefit Devro in innovation and cost savings

We are searching for a Head of Procurement to join our Global Supply Chain team., @ Degree qualified in an appropriate field, complimented by a postgraduate or professional qualification such as CIPS
@ Demonstrable experience of leading a procurement/strategic sourcing function within a manufacturing or similar environment across multiple countries is advantageous
@ Ability to lead, motivate and develop teams that are remote, and matrix managed.
@ Strong communication and stakeholder management, with significant influencing and negotiation skills
@ Direct and indirect procurement, including sourcing strategy, supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, contract implementation and compliance management.
