Full Job Description

Join a dynamic team at a leading Civil Engineering and Multi-Utility Contractor in the North East of Scotland!  Our client is looking to expand their team with a proactive QHSE Advisor who is committed to promoting excellence in Health, Safety, Quality, and the Environment.

The role will be an integral part in maintaining our client’s Integrated Management System and assisting with compliance throughout the company. The Integrated Management System comprehensively covers all aspects of Health and Safety, Quality and the Environment, to ensure works are carried out to an exceptionally high standard.

Working alongside the QHSE Manager, you'll enjoy a varied role that encompasses:

  • Conducting regular QHSE Inspections across operational sites.
  • Collaborating on Risk Assessments, Method Statements, and Construction Phase Plans.
  • Providing guidance and coaching to implement IMS policies and procedures.
  • Contributing to internal IMS auditing efforts.
  • Handling documentation for PQQs, ITTs, and Contractor Questionnaires.
  • Investigating accidents, incidents, and near-misses.
  • Assist the QHSE Systems Manager to raise QHSE standards across the company and share best practice.
  • Maintaining quality records and assisting in system development.

Your background should ideally include:

  • A recognised health and safety qualification is preferred.
  • Experience working in a similar role within Civil Engineering is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Lead Auditor qualification is preferred.
  • Familiarity with quality management systems.
  • Experience in Construction and/or Civil Engineering preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Packages.
  • A valid Driving Licence.
  • Willingness to travel to site as required.
