Health & Safety Manager

Escape Recruitment are supporting our client, a global manufacturing company, who are looking to hire a Health and Safety Manager to join their team. This position will predominantly be based in the Fife area, with occasional travel to their mainland Europe site.

The role

• Transform the safety culture, increasing engagement and participation across all levels of the business
• Understanding and practical experience of H&S legislation translating standards into best practice policies and procedures
• Carry out audits, evaluating health and safety procedures and systems identifying areas for improvement and implementing new strategies
• Investigate incidents and accidents, identifying root cause and taking the necessary steps to prevent recurrence
• Working with managers and key business areas to update and create risk assessments, audit reviews and continuous health and safety monitoring

About you

• Hold a recognised health and safety qualification (NEBOSH or similar)
• Experience within a manufacturing, production or process environment within a similar role.
• Leading from the front, demonstratable record of initiating safety improvements and supporting the workforce
• Experience of analysis of onsite incidents and corrective and preventative action plans
• Effective communicator with great attention to detail
