Full Job Description

Our client is a family-owned housebuilder who specialise on building quality family homes in the west central belt of Scotland. They are looking to recruit a Health & Safety Manager to join their team on a part-time permanent basis. The successful candidate will be based in Glasgow and will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of our employees and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and systems
- Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures to minimize risks
- Working with the design & technical team on pre-construction stage developments
- Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation
- Provide health and safety advice and guidance to employees and managers
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses and implement corrective actions
- Deliver health and safety training to employees and managers
- Liaise with external health and safety bodies and regulatory authorities
- Ensure that all health and safety records are maintained and up-to-date

Requirements:

- Relevant health and safety qualification such as NEBOSH or IOSH
- Experience in housing health and safety
- Experience in developing and implementing health and safety policies, procedures, and systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation
