The role of our Home carers has changed and is focusing now on four priority areas:- Enablement / Rapid Response / Complex and palliative care / Remote and rural areas As a Home Carer with Aberdeenshire Council you will work alongside a team of professionals within Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership. You will be involved in providing specialist care and support to service users across these four priorities, to allow service users to build upon their skills and abilities to live independently, while promoting their rights, autonomy and choices. You will also be provided with your work uniform and all personal protective equipment (including an electronic hand held device) required to

undertake the role safely and effectively. Working in a team covering the Rosehearty rural area This role will require flexible, evening and weekend working. Various positions available 1 x 24 hour post Working in a team of 3 covering the Rosehearty rural area. 4 x 6 hour shifts per week. Combination of early (7 to 1.30pm) and late (4pm to 10.30pm) shifts. 30 mins unpaid break included. 2 x 30 Hour posts Working in a team of 3 covering the Rosehearty rural area. 5 x 6 hour shifts per week over 4 days. Combination of early (7 to 1.30pm) and late (4 to 10.30pm) shifts with 30 mins unpaid break included. Requirement to work a double shift. 2 x 18 hour post Working in a team of 4 covering the Rosehearty rural area. 4 week rolling rota with a combination of early (7 to 1.30pm) and
late (4pm to 10.30pm) shifts which include a 30 mins unpaid break.

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject
to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory. This post will require you to have obtained SSSC Registration within 6 months of employment.
