Housekeeper / Cleaner

As a Nursery Housekeeper/Cleaner you will be responsible for ensuring all areas of the nursery are clean and tidy including toilets, kitchen, play rooms and staff areas. You will have an eye for detail and a commitment to ensuring our high standards are met reflecting these in your work

Description of Duties

Deliver: Deliver an amazing service, for both our children and families

• Clean all areas of the nursery including toilets, kitchen, play rooms and staff areas.



• Clean all surfaces including tables, doors, carpets, lino, wooden floors, paintwork and tiles.



• Empty all litter bins and remove waste from the setting, disposing of it appropriately in either general waste, recycling or sanitary bins.



• Ensure all high and low level dusting is completed, including underneath furniture.



• Assist with the daily washing of nursery laundry including washing, drying and storage.


Take Ownership:

Take ownership in everything, always being honest and transparent

• Ensure there is sufficient stock levels and correct equipment within the nursery, ensuring shortages do not prevent a high level of cleaning.



• Take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and any other person who may be affected by your activities.



• Complete all duties in accordance with the setting and company guidelines, completing and signing check lists where applicable.



• Be aware and comply with all COSHH documents and their contents.
