Working in a hybrid style, based at home and East District Housing office, you will work full time, 37 hours per week.

You will have a CIH Level 3 or relevant housing experience.Responsibilities
You will be responsible for promoting and delivering services to persons who are homeless or threatened with homelessness. Services will focus on the prevention of homelessness and will include front line housing options advice, advocacy and referral services. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all homeless applications are comprehensively assessed in line with legislation, guidance and within performance timescales. You will carry a housing options case load and will take a lead role in liaising with a range of agencies to ensure that support, advice and practical assistance is provided to service users to enable them to prevent or resolve homelessness and maintain their accommodation.The Individual
You will have relevant housing or other front line public service experience, interviewing experience and experience of working with a challenging client group.
You will good communication skills both written and verbal, the ability to manage a case load with minimum supervision, and IT skills.
You will have the ability to explain legislative decisions to clients in simple terms.
You will have a satisfactory Basic Disclosure Scotland Check.
