HR Advisor

We are delighted to be working in partnership with a new client who are an established Scottish based firm and leading experts in their field.

Due to expansion across the business, our client is looking to recruit a highly motivated and ambitious HR Advisor on a full time basis, permanent basis. This role can be based in either Edinburgh OR Glasgow!

Your role will support the HR team in delivering a seamless service to the business, colleagues and management. You will play a key role in delivering operational people services to the business to support the firm’s strategic aim to create a performance focused culture.

Your main duties will involve:

• Liaising with recruitment agencies; assessing applications and shortlist for interview; finalise job descriptions; liaise with key recruitment agencies on salary bands
• Trainee Recruitment: co-ordinate interviews; co-ordinate induction; meet with trainees on a quarterly basis
• Reward and Recognition: research alternative benefits and recommend changes; process pension; input annual review info onto payroll and circulate letters
• Performance Management: carry out technical staff reviews
• Talent Management: advise on career paths and promotion criteria
• Learning and Development: co-ordination of PEAT 2 training, ensuring LSS requirements met
• Health and Wellbeing: co-ordinate the promotion of health and wellbeing initiatives
• HR Processes and procedures: update policies; carry out flexible working meetings; carry out return to work interviews; carry out and report on exit interviews; process or input monthly payroll
• Payroll: review and sign off monthly changes; send reports for updating nominal accounts; liaising with HMRC.
• Any other ad-hoc duties

To be considered for this position, we are looking for the following background and/or experience:

• Previous experience as a HR Assistant or HR Generalist (or similar) seeking their next step
• Background working within the professional services sector
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and communicate positively and effectively
• Detail-orientated with a proactive and positive attitude to problem solving
• Have excellent IT skills particularly with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to analyse data in support of business priorities
• Fantastic organisational and prioritisation skills
• Working towards CIPD qualification
• Ability to work collaboratively across the business and within the team
• Passion for people and their development
