Eden Scott is delighted to be partnering with ERIB Knitwear, to recruit an HR & Compliance Coordinator on a permanent basis.

Established in 1986, ERIB is an award-winning knitwear design house and craft manufacturer based in the Scottish Borders. The company is renowned as a "cottage industry gone global" and boasts an avid fan base around the world. Its collections are available at over 400 prestigious stores in 21 countries worldwide, offering traditional yet uniquely modern Scottish knitwear for both men and women. ERIB operates with a team of 60 colleagues spread across several locations.


This opportunity is available on a 32-hour working week with flexibility around how the hours are managed over the 5 days and is based on site in their home-like headquarters which is near to their local train station.


The role provides administrative and project support to the business, primarily the management team in the areas of HR & H&S Governance. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining systems to manage the governance requirements within the business and managing HR across; recruitment, training, performance management, absence management, training, learning & development, disciplinary & H&S

The business's competent person for H&S will require someone to ensure that all H&S records and compliance aspects are up to date and managed. This would include mandatory training records, compliance registers, risk assessments, permit to work, contractor RAMS, approved contractor list, safety observations, accident recording and reporting etc. It is necessary for the business to have a robust administrative and accessible system for controlling all H&S related documentation and that this is kept current and compliant including annual renewals etc.

Additionally, this role would support the management team with administrative tasks arising from projects or other activities such as minutes/actions etc.

  • Developing systems and process to manage all the HR requirements throughout the business.
  • Supporting managers with all matters HR related in terms of documentation, administration.
  • Maintaining and managing the training records for the business ensuring all mandatory training is up to date and relevant.
  • Supporting managers with business projects in terms of administration around project timelines and activities e.g., Gantt charts
  • Developing systems and processes to manage all the H&S administrative and compliance requirements.
  • Ensuring that the business has a robust transparent and easily accessible record of all matters safety related to ensure compliance and to reflect the importance of safety across the business at all sites.
  • Support the management team in meetings and all other reasonable activities that require administration

Experience Required;

  • Able to communicate with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels of the business.
  • Able to support and communicate easily with any external partners for example H&S competent person.
  • Ability to make decisions around governance and compliance in a confidential and professional manner at all times.
