Full Job Description
Base Location: Flexible, however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key operational sites which includes but is not limited to:- Glasgow, Perth, Sloy, Lochay, Pitlochry., As Civils Programmes Lead Engineer, you'll be responsible for the implementation of the Hydro Civil asset maintenance strategy. Leading a team of five engineers across four catchment locations, Sloy, Awe, Tummel & Breadalbane, you'll be involved in the development, project delivery, and capital investment management of our assets.
Some of your other main accountabilities will include;
- Developing year ahead budget forecasts, team resource allocation and project programme development to ensure critical works are prioritised and aligned with the wider business strategy.
- Collaborating with the broader hydro business in preparing for outages and production plans.
- Managing the financial forecasting and reporting of multiple capital & revenue projects, ensuring that the works are delivered in a safe and sustainable manner, and to budget.
- The technical direction and oversight of projects within the team, including checking and reviewing deliverables, ensuring adherence to governance processes.
- Coaching and mentoring the members of your team, monitoring performance through frequent appraisals and ensuring the team maintains a strong safety culture and develop our safety communities with our contracting partners.
A minimum of degree level qualification in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, with a strong understanding of all engineering disciplines. - Relevant experience in an operational environment, preferably in hydro power generation or related infrastructure.
- Excellent SHE awareness, with experience of safe systems of work and knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
- Experience of project delivery, including a solid grasp of financial elements.
- Proven ability in leading and motivating a high performing team.
Due to the widespread geographical locations across Scotland, you must have a full and current UK driving licence.

Salary: £62,324 - £71,370 depending on skills and experience + car / car allowance + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
