Identity and Access Architect/Engineer - Inside IR35 - 7 month contract
Harvey Nash are recruiting for an Identity and Access Architect/Engineer for a public sector client. This role will be hybrid working, with the office based in Edinburgh 2 days per week.
This role is inside IR35. Role will require candidates hold the Right to Work in the UK and a Basic Disclosure Scotland Certificate.
Key Duties:
- Identity Architecture, understanding of technology and dependencies: Identify, design and deploy resolutions using the cloud IdP technologies and raise issues with planned activities. Successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with Cloud IdP platforms and other Cloud Security services to architect robust and secure solutions.
- Support in delivery of workshops, as well as run workshops with other product owners to design and deliver end to end solutions.
- Design and deliver SAML/OIDC SSO integrations using corporate Identity platform, Okta
- Understand both functional and non-functional requirements & make recommendations to approach: Use analysis to identify risk and/or suggest improvements, and make suggestions for improvements, and identify risks where appropriate that consider both the systems and business needs
- Business checks: Work closely with stakeholders to ensure that changes to applications and related Business process work as expected
- Ad hoc User Acceptance Testing: Work with technical teams to check changes work as expected prior to sharing with Stakeholders
Essential Skills
- Confident communicator - Be able to appropriately adjust communication style to different levels of technical experience
- Build relationships with key technical and non-technical stakeholders within the Project - Be able to work well with both existing stakeholders and identify additional stakeholders where appropriate.
- Confident Cloud IdP Architect - Be able to use MS Excel to monitor and track work as well as perform analysis when required including vlookups, pivot tables etc.
Desirable Skills
- Okta Workforce Identity Cloud
- SAML / OIDC
- Active Directory
- Working knowledge of other cloud-based security platforms which complement the IdP landscape, i.e., Entra, zScaler, Crowdstrike, etc., would be highly desirable.
