Interim Finance Manager

Rutherford Cross is delighted to be supporting a leading independent school in Glasgow to appoint an Interim Finance Manager for 6 months. This role will report directly to the newly appointed Chief Operations Officer and lead, manage and be accountable for the overall finance function of the school through the provision of professional and effective financial management and administration.

This role will be responsible for:

• Deputising for the COO in respect of all financial matters with both the Senior Leadership Team and the Board
• Preparing the draft Annual Budget for review by and discussion with the COO
• Preparing budget reforecasts as required
• Providing financial modelling input to assist with decision making
• Proactively managing the finances of the school and ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and applicable bodies, including the HMRC and OSCR
• To be the first point of contact for Heads of Department and other budget holders regarding their departmental finances
• To oversee the annual Bursary process and applications and prepare preliminary

We are looking to engage with both qualified and qualified by experience candidates. This role is not limited to individuals who only have experience in education, we are also looking to engage with candidates with industry experience. The role will pay £50-55k / equivalent day rate.
