Are you an internal audit professional with big ambitions?

WA is working with a leading and innovative asset manager based in Edinburgh to help source an Internal Audit Manager.

This role will operate within one of our client's key and high performing functions, maximising sustainable, high quality returns for their clients, customers and shareholders whilst effectively managing the risks faced by the business.

Role Profile:

  • Cultivate an in-depth understanding of the business and the risks it faces, supporting the team and stakeholders in responding to those risks
  • Own significant relationships generating valuable audit insights and generating plan proposals aligned to the risks faced by the business
  • Effective management and prioritisation of competing priorities and phased delivery of a portfolio of complex audits
  • Oversee the timely and effective end to end delivery of audits
  • Effectively communicate information to senior leaders, landing complex and technical messages succinctly and persuasively
  • Identify the root cause of risk management weaknesses and recommend robust, practical and beneficial solutions aligned to the business's strategic objectives
  • Provide high quality and effective coaching to junior team members
  • Ensure all of your own and your engagement team members' output meets quality and methodology expectations including
  • Collaborate across the function fostering a culture of trust and support which encourages innovation and growth
  • Embrace innovation and digital opportunities to support the development of our people and continually improve our way of working

Required Experience Skills:

  • Extensive relevant experience, in particular demonstrating experience of having delivered audits within financial services
  • Educated to degree level or industry experience equivalent
  • Relevant professional qualification or equivalent
  • Strategic and analytical thinker
  • Ability to communicate in a clear manager and build relationships across all levels
  • Decisive and able to influence
  • Up to date knowledge of laws, regulations and standards
  • Strong project management skills
