IT Engineer

Outstanding staff opportunity with a leading Energy business, supporting company users with a variety of IT queries, and offering you the chance to develop noticeably as an individual.

In this role you will be responsible for providing technical support, maintenance, and development of the IT infrastructure and systems of the organisation. You will work closely with the IT Manager, Helpdesk Team Leader and other IT staff to ensure the availability, security, and performance of the IT services and applications.

Responsibilities:

‍

·      Provide technical support and assistance to users and staff on IT issues and requests.

·      Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade the IT hardware, software, and network devices.

·      Monitor and manage the IT systems and services, such as servers, storage, backup, network, security, email, phone, etc.

·      Troubleshoot and resolve IT incidents and problems and escalate them when necessary.

·      Document and update the IT policies, procedures, and inventory.

·      Participate in IT projects and initiatives, such as migration, integration, testing, deployment, etc.

·      Research and evaluate new IT solutions and technologies.

·      Provide training and guidance to users and staff on IT best practices and standards.

As well as the usual M365/Azure/VMWare knowledge I would be keen to speak to you if your knowledge of Cisco networking and MS Exchange environments so if you feel this role would suit, then please get in touch!
