As an IT Infrastructure Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our company's M365 platform, ensuring that all systems are fully operational. You will play a crucial role in supporting our employees and ensuring that they have the necessary tools and resources to carry out their day-to-day responsibilities.

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage the M365 platform and associated applications which are used by our colleagues daily. You will also look for ways to continually improve the service through delivery of new capabilities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and be knowledgeable with the M365 platform and applications. Additionally, you should have excellent critical thinking skills and be able to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical individuals.

About the role

  • Design and implement new capabilities within the M365 platform as part of planned change activity, working closely with Project Managers and Architecture to ensure these align with our strategic direction.

  • Provide SME experience in aspects of the M365 platform, identifying opportunities to deliver improvements from both a technology and process perspective.

  • Provide support & guidance to other teams, such as 2nd and 3rd Line Support teams, and the Service Desk, to improve their knowledge of the M365 platform, and act as an escalation point where necessary.

You will have experience of managing Microsoft 365 on an enterprise-scale.

  • Experience managing policies & configuration of Microsoft 365 applications such as Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Viva etc.

  • Experience of automation using Microsoft Graph API, PowerShell, or other scripting languages would be advantageous.

  • Knowledge of Power Platform would be advantageous.

  • Awareness of development lifecycle as the team deliver in sprints.

  • Excellent communicator with the ability to explain technical concepts to stakeholders.

We're the UK's largest mutual life, pensions and investment company, offering protection, long-term savings and asset management products and services.

  • Our People Promise to our colleagues is that we will all work somewhere inclusive, responsible, enjoyable and fulfilling. This is underpinned by our Spirit of Royal London values; Empowered, Trustworthy, Collaborate, Achieve.

We've always been proud to reward employees by offering great workplace benefits such as 28 days annual leave in addition to bank holidays, an up to 14% employer matching pension scheme and private medical insurance. You can see all our benefits here - Our Benefits
