IT Operations Lead

An outstanding opportunity for an experienced IT professional to be the driving force behind the IT operations of a rapidly scaling Energy business in Aberdeen, as they look to bring much of this key function in-house.

Here you will be in charge of the IT procedures, practices, and services required to satisfy internal and external users' business needs. The position will include overseeing daily IT operations and making sure that systems are secure and reliable.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to internal staff inquiries, problems, and requests pertaining to IT in a prompt and effective manner.
• Diagnose and fix technical problems with hardware, software, and networks in order to reduce downtime and increase productivity.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all questions about internal IT assistance, offering first-class internal customer care and guaranteeing a positive user experience.
• Oversee the upkeep and management of an inventory of IT assets, such as desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and accessories, to guarantee their accessibility and appropriate operation.
• Manage user accounts, security settings, and access privileges to guarantee data privacy and adherence to corporate guidelines.
• Perform routine maintenance on IT systems, such as antivirus scans, system patches, and software upgrades, to guarantee optimum performance and security.
• To encourage employee knowledge sharing and self-help, create and maintain IT documentation, such as FAQs, knowledge base articles, and standard operating procedures.
• Keep up to speed with new developments in software, IT trends, and upcoming technologies. Offer suggestions for ongoing innovation and development in the internal IT infrastructure.
• Control the IT budget and maximise expenditures to generate the highest financial return for the business.
