Full Job Description

My Client, a leading organisation in their field, are looking to take on an IT Technician on a full time permanent basis to join their busy team.


IT Technician will report to the Area IT Manager and will work with the Area IT Manager providing support to both onshore and offshore company's management information systems. To ensure corporate policy is adhered to re computer hardware and software.

Primary Responsibilities:


Working with the area IT manager to provide IT support to the region’s onshore and offshore operations, this role includes:

• To provide IT Support to shore-based users and rigs in the region.

• To provide training and development to users when required. • Assist in IT project activities.

• Collaborate with global IT team on support requirements and project activity.

• Act as an on-call contact on a rota basis with others in the department.

• Travel offshore for project activities or to key side locations when applicable. Job Elements

• Assist in management of all information technology systems including PCs and communication systems.

• Travel offshore and to international locations as required.

• Assist Area IS Manager in supporting all onshore and offshore communication systems, including phone networks and mobile phones.

• Ensure security of hardware and software and maintain inventory of all IT assets.

• Assist in the development of new software systems as and when required.

• Ensure Sarbanes Oxley procedures are followed.

• Ensure compliance with Company HSEQ initiatives.


Qualifications


• Education: Must have a minimum of HNC Computing or other industry recognised certification.

• Competence: Must be competent in working in a predominately Microsoft software environment.

• Personal Qualities: Must be organised with good communication skills and be self-motivated with a clear logical approach to problem solving. Must be an innovative thinker and a team player with a flexible attitude to meet the company needs.

• Commitment to Safety: Must demonstrate a strong commitment to HSEQ.
