Kitchen Team Member - The Cafe

It's our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you'd like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for this too and would still love to hear from you., It takes lots of different people to run a store and this is a job for doers, with plenty of variety. It's a committed role, full of everyday challenges, but that's one of the things that makes it so exciting.

You will be responsible for


• Working in the kitchen team inside your local Tesco Cafe


• Making great quality food that is 'picture perfect' every time


• Prep in advance to get our dishes out in 10 minutes or less!


• Making our own food in the cafe, like yummy muffins, scones & toasties


• React quickly to online guest feedback


• Reports to the Team Leader


You will need


• To be 18 years of age or older


• Some work exp.as Kitchen Crew, Cook, Chef de Partie, Assistant, etc.


• Takes pride in delivering good looking, tasty dishes every time


• Work experience cafes, fast food, pubs, etc


• Some work with specs & brand standards in a commercial kitchen


• Level 2 in Health & Safety and Food Hygiene is a bonus
