Part of the Residential Services management team at Taymouth Castle project the Laundry Managers' role encompasses various responsibilities aimed at ensuring the smooth operating and running of the laundry department; the high standard of cleanliness and service quality with each item that passes through the department. And together, with the wider residential services team a focus on delivering exceptional service while maintaining efficiency, quality, compliance and standards throughout the laundry operations.

Part of a close-knit team of three the laundry department consists of a manager and two Assistants. Supervising and leading this small team while working and collaborating with the wider Residential Services team at a variety of locations throughout the club. Planning, co-ordinating and overseeing the procurement and inventory of the laundry supplies; ensuring that adequate stock levels are maintained for the smooth running of the laundry facility. Consistently delivering fresh laundry for our members and visiting guests at their 'home from home'.

Managing the day-to-day operations of the Estate Laundry and colleagues' uniforms. The department oversees the laundry and dry-cleaning service of colleague's uniforms including chef whites. All suites and residence linen, towels, food and beverage linen, spa linen. Identifying stained or damaged items and determining the status for repair; spot treatment and rewashing or appropriately discarding items and removing as necessary from circulation to ensure quality standards are met.

Carrying out brand standard checks and communicating the importance of safety procedures so that each team member understands safety procedures and codes while monitoring those processes.

Managing the laundry shift rota to ensure the consistency of the operation and its performance within budget. Operating profit and loss statements. Purchasing and payroll. Compliance with all policies, standards and procedures set up for the protection of the environment throughout the club and within the estate grounds.

Ensuring all requests from our club members are carried out and any unforeseen issues are investigated and rectified professionally for members satisfaction. And communicated to the Director of Residential Services.

Conducting a monthly stock take of all the linen and equipment required by colleagues and ordering and maintaining those supplies. Liaising with suppliers of bespoke items, tools and uniforms required by the team to ensure we never run short and maintain the consistency of service for our members.

Scheduling a periodic deep cleaning of the laundry while working closely with the facilities team in maintaining equipment/ maintenance requirements. Support and provide the team with training on each piece of equipment, all cleaning procedures and where necessary the correct dosage of chemicals is used.

Taking part in regular management meeting and training sessions / courses that will benefit you and the team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with previous experience of working as a Laundry Manager or similar. Where organisation, people management and attention to detail have all been part of your day-to-day encompassing various responsibilities all aimed at running a smooth operation of high standards, cleanliness and service quality.

Although previous experience within a similar role would be an advantage, we need highly motivated team players who take huge pride in their work and are passionate about delivering the high standards associated with Taymouth Castle Golf and Sport Club. Warm natured, approachable with excellent communication, organisation and a can-do attitude are all prerequisites for this exciting and challenging opportunity.

This role may require travel around some of the facilities within the estate so a valid UK Driving License will be essential to fulfil this opportunity.
