Legal Counsel

Location: Glasgow, UK

Hybrid / Permanent

The Role:

Our client a leading multinational technology company known for its diverse range of products and services that cater for both individual consumers and businesses globally is seeking a Legal Counsel to joins its UK and Ireland operations. In the role you'll play a pivotal role in supporting business ventures across the UK and Ireland. Reporting to the Country Counsel, you'll be responsible for providing legal expertise and guidance on a variety of transactions and matters. This role presents an exciting opportunity for a talented commercial lawyer to thrive in a dynamic and innovative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiate complex hardware, services, and subscription-based software transactions.
  • Advise on legal risks associated with sales activities, including distribution, non-standard agreements, disputes, and online sales.
  • Conduct legal reviews of global templates, programs, new product offerings, and Go-To-Market initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of legal guidance and training to mitigate risks and enhance efficiency.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Qualified Solicitor in Scotland or England and Wales.
  • 4-10 years PQE of relevant experience.
  • Solid legal knowledge in all relevant commercial areas of law.
  • Experience in drafting and negotiating sales, services, and software transactions.
  • Proficiency in advising on complex, high value/risk contracts and related matters.
  • Experience liaising with business stakeholders, preferably in cross-functional collaborations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple transactions and projects independently.
