Full Job Description

Due to recent expansion within our team, an exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Link Officer. Reporting to the Operations Team Leader, as Link Officer your role will focus on establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with clients through initial engagement, assessment, registration, and signposting to specialist services and provision ensuring that their individual needs are met.,

  • As Link Officer, you will achieve targets and KPI's to engage unemployed South Lanarkshire residents.

  • You will promote and encourage key client groups to engage in RTWS services.

  • You will deliver a range of community events, group sessions and presentations that will provide a menu of available opportunities to unemployed South Lanarkshire residents.

  • You will meet ongoing contractual compliance requirements including accurately completing all paperwork and input to a bespoke database., As Link Officer, you will deliver personal targets and KPI's and contribute to team targets and KPI's in line with the performance management framework.

  • You will provide information, advice and guidance about a range of issues, such as careers, education, employment and training, housing, money, health and substance misuse; in partnership with specialist agencies.

  • You will support clients to access the most appropriate additional services required, signposting and referring to alternative services.

  • You will capture and record accurate information and input it into a bespoke database in line with company quality standards.

  • You will deliver and maintain a quality service at all times in line with RTWS Customer Service Standards Policy and Procedures.

  • You should be aware of the confidential nature of information received, and act at all times within the boundaries of GDPR.

  • You will carry out any other duties in line with organisational requirements.

    The ideal candidate will be target driven, motivated, enthusiastic, an excellent communicator who is able to build strong relationships and meet performance indicators., Knowledge of barriers facing customers entering employment, training or education.

  • Knowledge of local labour market intelligence.

  • Target and performance driven to achieve KPI's

  • Experience of mentoring clients.

  • Knowledge of support services/local partner agencies for clients furthest removed from the labour market.

  • Experience of mentoring clients.

  • Experience of networking and partnership working.

  • Ability to encourage, persuade and motivate.

  • Flexibility to cope with the varying demands of the role and achieve the desired results.

  • Ability to problem solve and respond appropriately to a variety of situations.

  • Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.

  • Good organisational skills.

  • A professional manner in dealing with clients, colleagues and employers.

  • IT literate with experience of Microsoft Office and Outlook

  • Full driving licence and own transport

    28 days per annum plus 10 public holidays, 8% non-contributory pension, BUPA Cash plan, Flexi-time, Group Life Insurance.
