Mailroom / Finishing Operator

We are currently seeking Mailroom/Finishing Operators to join our team in Glasgow and contribute to the success of our print publications.

We are seeking detail-oriented individuals to join our print production team as Mailroom/Finishing Operators. In this role, you will be responsible for operating the mailroom and finishing equipment to prepare printed materials for distribution. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who are organized, reliable and thrive in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate mailroom equipment, such as inserters, folders, and stackers, to prepare printed materials for distribution.
• Monitor equipment performance and adjust as needed to ensure smooth operation and maintain production efficiency.
• Sort and organize printed materials according to distribution routes or other specified criteria.
• Perform quality control checks on finished products to verify accuracy and consistency.
• Assist with bundling, labelling, and palletizing printed materials for shipping or delivery.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the mailroom area to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
• Follow safety procedures and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Work collaboratively with team members to meet production deadlines and fulfil customer orders.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform routine maintenance tasks as needed.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by supervisors to support the overall operation of the print production department.

Requirements:

• Previous experience operating mailroom or finishing equipment is preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends, as needed to support production schedules.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to mailroom operations is a plus.
