Full Job Description

What will I be doing as a Marketing Executive? You will be responsible for overseeing and executing various marketing initiatives, with a key focus on social media content creation, platform management, website updates, and newsletter creation. You will be someone who has excellent story telling abilities and a flair for creating engaging organic content across various social media platforms (including but not limited to Instagram, Tik-Tok and LinkedIn).

This role will be responsible for thinking of new and exciting ideas on how to turn latest trends into engaging content for our audience and to reach new audiences! Overall, you will work with our Senior Marketing manager to create and execute compelling marketing campaigns to promote out organisation and reach a wide audience.,

  • Availability to work 20 hours per week, flexible working arrangements available with some weekend or evening work required due to the nature of the role.

    Experience working with social media with a solid understanding of social media platforms, trends and best practices (including Instagram, LinkedIn and TikTok)

  • Strong system knowledge - Proficient video editor and graphic design knowledge (experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Indesign, Adobe Photoshop); Wordpress knowledge and Mailchimp or similar newsletter marketing tools knowledge

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines (all whilst keeping a strong eye for detail)

  • Knowledge of necessary licensing including Copyright Law, Usage Rights, Royalty-Free and Licensed Content, Public Domain Content, Attribution Requirements, Fair Use, Model Releases and Permissions, Brand Guidelines, Platform Policies, Creative Commons Licenses:

    We are looking for a driven and creative Marketing Executive (Part-Time) to join us at Kimpton Charlotte Square Hotel and InterContinental Edinburgh's Cluster Marketing Team!

  • Please note this a fixed-term position with a contracted length of 12 months initially, to be reviewed based on business requirements and potential for this role to be extended.
