Full Job Description

Reporting to the Warehouse Team Lead, the successful applicant will develop and maintain strong working relationships with client contacts to assist with the efficient operation of the PO receipts, storage, maintenance and preparation for shipment functions in line with agreed procedures. Duties include:

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with client contacts to assist with the efficient operation of the PO receipts, storage, maintenance and preparation for shipment functions in line with agreed procedures


  • Act as a client focal point for users both onshore and offshore, responding quickly and accurately to issues/queries raised


  • Inventory management focusing on processing work orders, stock movements, returns, items for repair and scrap disposals


  • Coordinate work orders for shipping with the sailing schedule, ensuring timely processing


  • Arrange transportation, inspection, repair or relocation of inventory where required


  • Inventory stock control, investigating discrepancies


  • Correctly packing all materials as per Customer and ASCO requirements and procedures


  • Utilisation of the Maximo system and completion of hard copy and computerised documents


  • Maintaining an accurate, auditable record of activities


  • High standards of housekeeping being maintained at all times within Warehouse and Yard areas


  • Correctly utilising forklifts and lifting equipment as set out in legislative and Company policy


  • Ad-hoc duties as required in line with applicable training/competency assessments undertaken. These include providing on-call cover as part of rota for any urgent warehouse requirements. Holiday and flex cover as part of rota for Logistics role. Ad-Hoc Offshore PMC cover on an as and when required to cover holidays or illness. Training will be provided for these duties.

  • Effective Time Management


  • Computer literate with well-developed IT skills across the Microsoft suite, particularly Excel


  • Practical understanding of data entry and reporting applications, specifically Maximo warehouse transactions and processes or similar MRP system such as SAP.


  • Accustomed to working effectively in a fast-paced environment, flexible and can adapt to changing workloads and priorities, where high standards are not compromised under pressure.


  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.


  • Ability to work stand-alone while a positive contributor to the wider team.


  • Motivated to achieve the highest standards of performance and customer support, maintaining a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.


  • Solutions based with strong planning, organising and numeric skills, and an excellent attention to detail.


  • Previous warehousing or logistics experience


  • Minimum Qualifications

    Current Forklift License

    Previous offshore experience - BOSIET/MIST

    An Application Registration Card issued by the Home Office stating that the holder is permitted to take the employment in question
