Full Job Description

As a Barclays Market Data Financial Management (MDFM) Commercial Manager, you will be individually responsible for proactively managing a specified group of vendors and business areas on behalf of MDFM ensuring that Barclays obtain the most cost effective market data services to meet business requirements. You will also evolve the MDFM strategy based on direction from MDFM Leadership team, your own strategic thoughts, strategic insights from the lines of business, Group, industry groups and our competitors., At Barclays, we offer a hybrid working experience that blends the positives of working alongside colleagues at our onsite locations, together with working from home. We have a structured approach where colleagues work at an onsite location on fixed, 'anchor', days of the week, for a minimum of two days a week or more, as set by the business area (or nearest equivalent if working part-time hours). What will you be doing?

  • Being responsible for leading commercial negotiations with relevant Market Data vendors

  • Managing overall Business relationship with assigned business teams

  • Advocating proactively for and advancing the MDFM strategy with the Business

  • Displaying high levels of leadership, influencing and transformational abilities, striving for continuous improvement across MDFM services

  • Ensuring that Barclays leverages its global purchasing power with vendors and undertake proactive management of the global contracts

  • Ensuring that all the terms of global deals are communicated to the relevant entities who are entitled to participate in them, and manage the compliance of Barclays

    In depth market data knowledge and understanding of different functional areas of a Bank

  • Excellent organisational skills with an ability to effectively utilize those around you

  • Ability to energise, motivate and inspire teams towards a common goal

  • Great communication skills with experience managing stakeholders across a universal bank, with an ability to summarise large and complex data with insightful analysis
