Full Job Description

A unique opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Engineer to join a global leader in Energy innovation within the Surface Production Systems division.

This is a varied and challenging role on the Aftermarket sides of the business, which combines both Mechanical Design and Project Engineering. You'll be part of an experienced team, developing existing Surface Equipment - wellheads, X-mas trees etc - to meet customer requirement or the needs of the Oilfield Industry.

You'll have the opportunity to work alongside and support multiple teams, including sales, manufacturing, installation, and project engineering.

You'll be responsible for assisting in providing innovative and cost-effective solutions requiring the development or sustaining of new or improved techniques, procedures, or products.

  • Your Daily Tasks Will Include
  • Analyse and develop Product Design to meet customers' or the industry's needs, having an awareness of good economic design and safety, both in manufacture and function

  • Discuss the customer's requirements, to identify company products which meet these and give technical advice on the application and proper use of company products

  • Prepare technical documentation and provide the service necessary for the repair group and other departments

  • Assist in identifying and organizing requirements to repair goods. Apply relevant usability procedures and principles.

    Degree in an Engineering related subject

  • Experience in design Engineering in the Oil & Gas Industry

  • A good knowledge of Wellhead Products and working procedures is advantageous

  • CAD Software such as Solidworks, Creo, Inventor or AutoCAD is desirable
