Mechanical FitterRole Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in assembling precision lapping, polishing, and cutting equipment used in semiconductor, geological, and optical engineering applications. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and have a keen eye for detail, this role offers exciting opportunities.
Responsibilities:


  • Mechanical Assembly:
    • Assemble complex electro-mechanical products with precision.
    • Utilise manual machining techniques and hand tools during the build process.
  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
    • Search for and utilise electronic data from MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and CAD (Computer-Aided Design) data management systems.
  • Aesthetic and Functional Accuracy:
    • Demonstrate finesse during production to ensure our products meet aesthetic requirements without compromising functional accuracy.
    • Work closely with a tight-knit production team to assemble bespoke equipment.
  • Additional Skills (Advantageous):
    • Prior experience in electrical assembly (e.g., panel wiring).
    • Familiarity with CNC turning/milling or programming of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and electrical hardware.


    • Quality and Standards:

    • Maintain high-quality, safety, and environmental standards.
    • Ensure equipment, supplies, and records adhere to ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.


    Working Conditions:

    • Excellent hourly rate.
    • Generous pension contributions.
    • Working hours: 37 hours per week (Mon-Thu, 7:30 am to 5:15 pm).
    • Overtime opportunities (typically on Fridays).
