Full Job Description

Are you a professional Pharmacy Technician looking for a new challenge? Would you like to build and develop your knowledge within the medicines supply chain homecare team . We are looking for a pharmacy technician to deliver patient-centred care in an expanding and developing service., The successful candidate Should be keen to develop their knowledge and skills within a supportive environment. You must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) and have an accredited checking technician qualification (ACT). All accredited final accuracy checking qualifications will be considered.

    As a key member of the team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our homecare team [INS: delivering :INS] a first class service for patients across NHS Tayside. Medicines homecare services have emerged as a key supply route over recent years, releasing capacity from the hospital setting. There are currently approximately 3000 patients receiving a medicines homecare service in Tayside, with numbers increasing year on year, Some of our vacancies are for internal candidates only.     Hours of work are 37 hours over a 7 day working week, consideration will be given to applicants looking to work part time/job share.


  • NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
