Full Job Description

We're recruiting dedicated and compassionate Support Workers to assist our clients with daily living skills and support them to live independently in their community in and around Greater Glasgow.

Shifts include mornings and lates in block 1:1 visits. You will also need to work alternate weekends and have a flexible approach to work. Both part-time and full-time hours are available.

About the Service

The overall aim of our service is to promote greater independence, by enhancing life skills in areas such as problem-solving, budgeting and home management.

Our clients have a range of complex Mental Health and/or substance misuse needs. You'll be making a real difference by empowering clients to review choices and behaviours and make positive changes to their lifestyles.

We encourage individuals to engage with the local community as well as other support services, to lead as active and fulfilling a life as possible. Our staff team work jointly, to provide group activities, as well as individually, which encourages the development of their skills and experience.

  • The ability to be resilient, to communicate effectively and to utilise a variety of communication tools is essential.

  • You will be required to administer medication, complete cleaning and household tasks and provide support to clients through the day or night when required. This may include Personal Care tasks, supporting them in and around the community and with financial matters.

  • You will be responsible for ensuring all paperwork is completed in line with CQC and company guidelines. This role includes observing, monitoring and recording client information, and providing support.

  • Experience with autism. mental health, learning disabilities, challenging behaviour, complex care or substance misuse is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided and we will support you through your Health and Social Care qualifications.
