Full Job Description

  • Produce required products meeting company standards to planned volume and schedule.

  • Ensure strict adherence to quality, food safety, hygiene, ethical, product labelling and allergen handling processes.

  • Follow traceability process and always ensure product & labelling integrity.

  • Keep and maintain appropriate records as required.

  • Ensure own familiarity and compliance with company policies and procedures, standards of operation and safe operating procedures.

  • Operate mincer machine adhering to protocol and safety procedures whilst using own initiative.

  • Ensure consistent and timely attendance at work.

  • Provide flexibility to meet company operating requirements.

  • Provide pro- and re-active and supportive verbal and written communication to team members, supervisors, and managers.

  • To ensure all Scotbeef products are manufactured to the Food Safety & Brand Integrity requirements defined by our customers' requirements & BRC standards.

    Good level of spoken and written English.

  • Results driven.

  • Great attention to detail.

  • Good communication skills

  • Experience in operating a Kolbe, Thomson or Seydelmann mincer is desirable.

  • Experience of understanding and following recipe sheets is desirable.

  • Able to work independently with minimal guidance, knowing that support is in place if required.

  • Flexible, adaptable and keen to support others' development.

  • Collaborative team player.

  • Accreditation Food Hygiene equivalent at minimum level 2.

  • Speaking, writing and understanding spoken and written English language. (This is an essential health & safety, traceability, management and quality control requirement which will be tested as part of the recruitment process).

  • Good numeracy skills.
