Multi Skilled Engineer - Uddingston

Blue Arrow are recruiting for a Multi Skilled Engineer for our client based in Uddingston.

Permanent contract: Dayshift/Backshift rotation Monday to Friday 07:00 - 15.30 and Monday to Friday 12:30 - 2100.

Salary: 40k - 45K DOE

Job Purpose:
To maintain a wide range of production equipment as well as general maintenance and installation of new equipment.
Role
* Attend breakdowns on site with a rapid response whilst ensuring plant equipment and machinery breakdown time is minimised.
* Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance across the factory effectively and efficiently, either alone or as part of a team.
* Communicate unscheduled downtime to Engineering Supervisor and Production Managers and the corrective actions and root cause if identified.
* Identification of improvements that can be made to production lines or individual machinery or other operations.
* Ensure all health and safety and other business guidelines are followed.

Requirements
* Qualified, multi-skilled engineer
* Proven experience within a food production/manufacturing environment is essential.
* Exposure to metal detectors, conveyors, weighers, and baggers would be beneficial.
* Health and Safety / Basic Hygiene trained.
* Have a proactive approach to fault finding, a commitment to continuous improvement, and personal development.
* Ability to understand mechanical drawings / manuals.
* Good interpersonal skills
