Job Description

  • Operation of NDT inspection equipment in the detection of Surface & sub-surface defects in engine components.


  • Inspect engine components I.A.W specifications using NDT techniques.

  • Complete documentation I.A.W. company procedures.

  • Maintain Certification in accordance with EN4179 and company requirements.

  • Meet Production goals.

  • Prepare NDT Written Instructions to be utilised within the NDT Centre

  • Prepare detailed reports of inspection results.

  • Work as part of a team.


  • Essential Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Previous NDT Level II certification/experience in one or more of the following NDT disciplines RT, ECI & UT

  • Attendance at formal study courses is to gain a Level 2 NDT qualification in one or more of the following NDT detection methods:


  • Radiography (RT)

  • Ultrasonic (UT)

  • Immersion Ultrasonic (IUI)

  • Eddy-Current (ECI)


  • Preferable Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Previous EN4179 Level II NDT certification/experience within the aviation industry in one of the following RT, UT, IUI & ECI.

  • Previous experience with ECI & UT Automated NDT inspection systems.

  • Previous additional experience in PT & MT would be beneficial.
