To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.

This post requires the post holder to have a PVG Scheme membership/ record. If the post holder is not a current PVG member for the required regulatory group (i.e. child and/or adult) then an application will need to be made to Disclosure Scotland and deemed satisfactory before they can begin in post.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our expanding Band 7 Senior Charge Nurse Team within the Emergency Department.  As a Senior Charge Nurse working within the Emergency Department at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, you will have clinical, professional and managerial responsibility on a 24-hour basis including all clinical and governance issues.  You will provide strong leadership, excellent communication skills and have the ability to develop and support staff with clinical expertise.  You will be expected to function effectively under pressure without compromising basic standards of care and professionalism.
