Full Job Description

We are seeking to recruit a Nurse psychotherapist to a permanent post within NHS Forth Valleys Psychological Therapies Service. The service has received considerable recent investment, and currently employs Nurse Psychotherapists, Counsellors, Clinical Psychologists, Counselling Psychologists and Clinical Associates in Applied Psychology.

This post presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a developing multidisciplinary psychological therapies service, as well as having strong links with professional nursing structures within the wider service. This service is fully commitment to staff wellbeing and continued professional development.

The post holder will provide direct psychological assessment and intervention to adults with a wide range of presenting problems. 

Candidates must possess current registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse and be qualified in at least two high intensity, evidence-based psychological interventions e.g. CBT, TF-CBT, IPT, EMDR. Experience of working with people who have experienced trauma would also be essential in this role. Group work experience would also be beneficial.
