Full Job Description

You will report directly to the Markinch Mechanical Engineer. You will be expected to work in close collaboration with your colleagues within Maintenance & Operations.,

  • Play a leading and active role in managing safety: live our performance and Mission Zero safety culture and climate

  • Carry out daily plant walk around inspections and record all findings in our maintenance management system.

  • Carry out preventative maintenance tasks as per maintenance management system requirements.

  • Actively engage in accurate fault diagnosis, reactive fault finding and defect rectification.

  • Support site engineers with maintenance scheduling through SAP.

  • Support all aspects of station requirements including integration with the operations team.

  • Actively support the need to develop cross-discipline skills & work flexibly to support each other irrespective of their background discipline.

    Have served an apprenticeship in mechanical fitting / plant maintenance and qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).

  • Professional experience working in a heavy engineering environment.

  • Competent interpreting and working to engineering drawings and OEM documentation.

  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and working at height.

  • Comfortable working in adverse weather conditions where required.

  • Have a general knowledge and understanding of the use of IT equipment and have the ability to update worksheets on Microsoft Office applications (word / excel).

  • Flexible and agile in their approach to supporting the Station through flexible working hours and application of skills. Ability and flexibility to retrain and to take on new skill sets.

  • Strong HSE and wellbeing mindset.
