Full Job Description

We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.  

The shift pattern is Monday-Friday 09.00-17.00.

An exciting opportunity for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist has arisen to join an established Occupational Therapy team within the area of adult mental health inpatients, based at Ward 37, RAH.

We are looking for an innovative Occupational Therapist who enjoys working as part of a strong multidisciplinary team is committed to the support, care, assessment and treatment of patients with Dementia. 

The post holder will work with patients on an individual and group work basis and will work as part of the multidisciplinary team. 

The post holder will help facilitate safe and successful discharge home from hospital and should possess the relevant skills, empathy and sensitivity required to work with individuals with Dementia.

The post holder will be expected to manage the day to day input of the Band 3 support worker within the area, and will be supported by a strong culture of robust supervision and ongoing training opportunities.
