Full Job Description

Work across multi-disciplined engineering and project teams to ensure identification, and mitigation of engineering and quality risks to minimise risk to programme.

- Preparation of Design Management Plans, Engineering Works Information, Design decision registers and any other required design risk management tool to ensure we meet our obligations under CDM, ESQCR.

- Provision of technical input in specialist offshore engineering disciplines as well as interfacing with wider engineering teams, and other technical and project functions to make sure project programmes are delivered effectively.

- Commercial expertise in reviewing contractor's proposals, identifying opportunities for value add engineering changes, defining the scope and managing the associated resource budget for your projects.

- Ensure that safety is paramount, from supporting the review of RAMS to implementation of CDM procedures and practices and being a champion of safety compliance., At SSEN Transmission, we take immense pride in owning and operating the high-voltage electricity transmission network across the north of Scotland. Strong technical knowledge and experience in core engineering discipline with good awareness of all technical functions in offshore platform engineering.

- Good knowledge of hazard identification and mitigation through design risk management.

- Knowledge of the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, CDM Regulations 2015, PFEER 1995 and Safety Case Regulation 2015 and other key relevant health, safety and environmental legislation.

- Demonstrable experience in building relationships with contractors, consultants, stakeholders and communities to support the sustainable delivery of the projects that you are responsible for.

- Experience of project development, through the optioneering and initial design phases, with an ability to develop the optimum project solution, with appreciation of Capital project governance and associated engineering processes.
