Full Job Description

As an Onshore Field Operations Site Supervisor, you'll be accountable for maintaining high standards regarding statutory legislation, safety performance, contractor management, clean building standards, personal behaviour to name but a few. All whilst ensuring the wind/solar/battery farm meets its availability and production targets.

Some of your other main accountabilities will include:

- Liaising with internal and external key stakeholders and facilitating a safe system of work for staff and contractors by carrying out inductions, reviewing risk assessments and method statements.

- Acting as a safety ambassador for SSE, engaging positively with visitors and 3rd parties around our safety standards whilst on site.

- Ensuring that planned maintenance routines are carried out on time and to the required standard.

- Providing emergency response by reacting to incidents, carrying out investigations and sharing the learnings across the business.

- Building and managing budgets in line with forecast.

As you will be providing supervision to working parties, managerial and leadership experience within a fast-moving operational environment will be necessary.

Although this role will be primarily based at Clyde Windfarm some travel to other sites within the region may be required, therefore a valid and current driving licence is essential.
What do I need?

A minimum of ONC / SNVQ III or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.

- Previous experience of working on electro-mechanical systems such as rotating machines, gearboxes, switch gear and control systems.

- The ability to read and follow engineering drawings, single line diagrams and schematics with experience of working at height and with pressure systems and lifting equipment preferred.

- Outstanding organisational and communication skills, with the ability to influence and forge strong relationships with stakeholders across a variety of levels and seniority.

- An understanding of financial protocols and experience managing small budgets.

Salary: £39,415 - £45,136 + company vehicle to be provided + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
