Optometrist Specialist

An opportunity has arisen to recruit a full time Optometrist to our expanding Optometry team within Ophthalmology at NHS Tayside. The focus of this post will be within the Contact lens Service as well as other core optometry clinics. You will be working closely with our Corneal consultant to provide contact lens care and work alongside our Orthoptic team and Paediatric Ophthalmologists in various clinical settings to help provide the Paediatric Service.

Experience of therapeutic contact lenses would be desirable, however not essential. Ongoing comprehensive training will be provided to the successful candidates to allow them the opportunity in a diverse range of clinics .Evidence of good communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently, yet also within a team and the ability to prioritise workload are essential.

You must hold General Optical Council registration and have post-registration experience. As you may be required to work anywhere throughout Tayside, the ability to travel is essential.
