Full Job Description

The key duties & responsibilities of the OHL Maintenance Technician are:

- To support the Maintenance Manager and Team Manager in the inspection and maintenance operations across the regions.

- To plan, prepare and coordinate inspection, maintenance & repair activities on our 132, 275 & 400kV overhead lines. This will also require out of hours standby duties.

- Responsible for the safety of yourself and colleagues and roll out of toolbox talks and safety briefs.

- Supervise overhead line teams and ensure accurate reporting of KPIs to the Team Manager.

- Engage with relevant stakeholders to ensure clear communication and understanding of the works being completed.

Industry recognised OHL qualification for both wood pole and steel tower access and rescue or proven previous experience in construction, maintenance overhead line activities.

- Knowledge of current operations and maintenance activities, electrical systems and their geography would be beneficial but not essential as informative training will be provided.

- Ability to coach and mentor less experienced colleagues.

- As this role requires travel to operational sites, a full UK driving license is required.
