Utopian Professional Recruitment are delighted to be working in partnership with a highly reputable wealth management company who are looking to a Paraplanner to join them on a full time, permanent basis.

Located in the heart of Edinburgh, this is an outstanding opportunity to join a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation who truly value their clients and colleagues alike. The purpose of this role will be to support the Financial Planners and Administrators in an effective and professional manner whilst working towards the company vision and objectives.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• You will provide technical expertise to support the Advisers to deliver the best value to clients
• Draft all written communications to clients
• Be responsible for all the quantitative content of bespoke Financial Plans
• Review and update centralized and low-cost propositions
• Undertake project work as and when required
• Liaise closely with Financial Advisers and collate all information required to achieve the clients’ objectives
• Ensure fact finds, client questionnaires and meeting notes fully support the advice given
• Identify and obtain information to complete financial cash flow forecasts
• You will be responsible for all the technical aspects of preparing client meetings
• Research independently and collaboratively with Advisers to identify suitable solutions for the client
• Analyse new/existing client policy information
• Compile financial planning recommendations and suitability reports
• Liaise with product providers or relevant third parties
• Provide full support to Advisers
• Assist the Advisers with client presentations
• Respond to any adhoc requests or technical questions
• Report writing
• Draft a full financial plan for new clients
• Populate and manipulate cash flow modelling software
• Complete draft net worth settlements
• Produce final reporting from client planning meetings
• Identify any changes required or improvements
• Ensure client financial plans are compliance
• Keep up to date with latest product and regulatory changes

To be considered for this opportunity, our client does require the following background / experience:

• Previous background / experience working within a similar role, or strong working knowledge working within a Financial Services organisation with the passion to develop further
• Level 4 Diploma qualified or working towards this level of qualification
• Strong understanding of Cashflow modelling software
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to think ahead and be proactive
• Organised with a great eye for detail
• Confident dealing with clients and colleagues written and verbally
• Ethical and professional approach to work
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships
• Approachable, positive with a can-do attitude
