Payroll Assistant

iMultiply is engaged to recruit for the position of Payroll Assistant based in Edinburgh.

The Company

A well-known chartered accountancy Firm based in Edinburgh. This independent firm works with small businesses across Scotland. Their payroll team comprises of 4 people.

This company is flexible on whether the role is full-time or part-time but will need at least 4 days per week.

You will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties:

  • Processing of weekly & monthly payrolls using payroll software.
  • Calculating of hours, overtime & salary increases.
  • Issuing P45’s and necessary HMRC forms when required
  • Producing payroll reports for other departments in the office when required
  • Calculation and process pensions contributions including submissions of pension files to the relevant pension provider and liaising with the Pension Regulator.
  • Submission of RTI (Real Time Information) & CIS submissions to HMRC
  • Processing of statutory payments such as SSP, SMP & SPP and maintaining accurate records
  • Payroll administration tasks such as maintaining electronic files, scanning, photocopying and liaising with HMRC.

To be considered for the role you will ideally have:

  • Worked in a dedicated payroll position with at least 1 years of experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong IT skills
  • Ability to deal with client queries

On offer 

The position of Payroll Associate will offer a salary of £25,000 - £30,000 depending on your skills and experience.
