Full Job Description

Reporting to our Head of People and Culture, you will provide inspirational leadership to a small team providing flexible and proactive HR Support across the global organisation. You will be a subject matter expert for the organisation across a broad spectrum of HR topics, employment legislation and policy.

People are at the heart of everything we do here at Mary's Meals and in this fast paced and varied role, you will apply your expert knowledge of HR and your strong influencing and communication skills to coach, mentor, challenge and build managerial capability in, people management, employee relations, and HR best practice.,

  • Influence and deliver a high-quality HR service to all Mary's Meals International employees.

  • Provide strategic support, leadership and direction to a high performing team.

  • Contribute to the ongoing support, including coaching and mentoring of our Programme Affiliates and National Affiliates as required.

  • Work towards continuous improvement of people frameworks, policy, procedures and manager tool kits at Mary's Meals International and across the network.

  • Proactively monitor forthcoming UK employment legislation to establish and implement any changes required to UK HR policy, documentation and associated training.

  • Manage, advise and support on a broad spectrum of complex employee relations cases involving senior managers and/or cases which have a significant risk profile within Mary's Meals International.

  • Drive positive behaviours and the embodiment of our values across the organisation.

  • Lead, plan and execute work to successfully deliver People and Culture projects throughout the year.

  • Identify HR policy skills gaps for managers and work in collaboration with the Learning and Development team to provide content and deliver subject matter expert training and mentoring.

  • Work collaboratively with our Head of Recruitment to support the Mary's Meals International recruitment lifecycle for senior positions, with a strong focus on candidate experience.

  • Build strong external networks to proactively support the Mary's Meals International remote first and wellbeing strategy.

  • Build management capability for managing change initiatives and work collaboratively with the People and Culture Partners to initiate change.

  • Provide operational support to the People and Culture Partners on succession plans, organisational design and workforce planning.

    With significant experience of working as an HR Manager, HR Partner or HR Lead, you will be a true HR generalist with substantial ER and change management experience, ideally from a global or multi-site organisation. With proven people leadership skills, you will bring experience of overseeing operational and strategic HR initiatives with extensive experience of negotiating and influencing cross functionally, to achieve overarching organisational aims. The ability to build strong working relationships and provide high quality support and coaching to managers, to resolve complex people issues is key, as are strong analytical skills. Knowledge and practical application of UK employment legislation is essential, and you will be keen to develop your knowledge of employment legislation frameworks in countries where Mary's Meals operates.
