An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Physiotherapy Assistant Practitioner to join our friendly AHP team in Nairn Town and County Hospital. 

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our rehabilitation team within Nairn Town and County Hospital to assist in delivering programmes of care to our in patient population over a five day week Monday through to Friday. 

As a clinical support worker you will be a key member of the AHP team and work closely with registered physiotherapists to deliver prescribed rehabilitation to patients following injury or illness. You will also liaise with other members of the AHP team and wider health care workers.

Key attributes for this post include excellent IT skills, communication and interpersonal skills and an eagerness to learn. A knowledge and understanding of the role of a physiotherapist or previous experience in a healthcare setting would be an advantage as would exercise experience.
 
Full training will be given and opportunities for personal development (CPD) are encouraged. 

The AHP department offers a rolling in service training programme which you will attend along with support for core skill uptake. 

The hospital offers  many services within the AHP section including MSK services, in patient rehabilitation, community outreach, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation and falls rehabilitation.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.
