Plumber / Heating Engineer

R A contracts Ltd are looking for a gas safe registered plumber/heating engineer to continue our growth in many sectors.

Company vehicle, uniform, PPE, fuel card and smart tablet all provided.

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Plumber/Heating Engineer to join our team. As a Heating Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining heating systems in residential and commercial properties. This is a hands-on role that requires technical expertise and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

- All types of plumbing ranging from new kitchen sinks to complete full wet rooms.

- Install, repair, and maintain heating systems, including boilers, furnaces, and heat pumps

- Conduct inspections and diagnose issues with heating systems

- Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal system performance

- Collaborate with clients to determine their heating needs and provide appropriate solutions

- Assemble and install components such as pipes, valves, and fittings

- Use power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment as necessary

- Test heating systems for proper functioning and make adjustments as needed

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards

- Provide excellent customer service and address client concerns in a professional manner

Qualifications:

- Gas Safe registered

- Proven experience as a Heating Engineer or similar role

- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of heating systems

- Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, and welding equipment

- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings

- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations

- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Valid driver's license for commercial driving purposes

- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
