Full Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic podiatrist to join our service as a Development Co-ordinator Lead for our General Podiatry Service.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is keen to develop their leadership skills in a supportive and progressive environment which promotes staff professional development and   learning along with quality improvement work within the service.

The post holder will support the Clinical Service Lead with operational management of the General Podiatry Service. Key components of this role are the identification, development and implementation of quality improvement work and programmes of change needed within the service, including digital transformation & improvement to waiting times, ensuring appropriate governance and the provision of a high quality of care for people accessing the service.

The post holder will also support the development and delivery of continuous professional development programmes for podiatrists within the General Podiatry Service and for embedding clinical support and supervision arrangements within the service.

You will possess excellent clinical knowledge and leadership skills and have experience working with others in delivering change. Evidence of continuous professional development at a masters level is advantageous. It is anticipated that you will continue with a clinical commitment. You will be supported with your professional development thorough formal and informal  opportunities in a way that meet your needs.

However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period, for which you would be paid, until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
