Full Job Description

Both positions will involve travel around the UK, therefore a full driving licence and access to a car are essential.

As part of the rapid expansion of our Historic Environment Team, Lanpro has an exciting opportunity available for ambitious Historic Environment Consultants to join the team at a Principal Level. We are looking for experienced, enthusiastic and driven consultants with a background in archaeology and heritage, who wish to further develop their careers on major development projects. This could be based out of our Edinburgh office or working remotely with some office attendance when required but the roles would provide for flexible working.

We are looking for commercially aware, talented and motivated individuals who are keen to take on new challenges, to provide solid and consistent advice to our clients. Developing business as part of the company's overall growth strategy both regionally and nationally will be central to the roles.
You will have an enthusiastic, independent and proactive attitude to your work, and will undertake a range of responsibilities, including providing consultancy advice, producing and managing the production of desk-based assessments and heritage statements. You will have experience of working as part of an EIA team, preferably for large-scale residential, commercial and renewable energy schemes, including authoring Cultural Heritage Environmental Statements. We are also looking for experience of providing proofs of evidence and written representations for planning appeals.

You will also advise and work closely with other members of the wider Lanpro team across disciplines. An excellent understanding of relevant local and national planning policy and legislation is required. Experience at public inquiry level is desirable.

Our heritage services compliment the multi-disciplinary planning, development, archaeology and design services offered by Lanpro. Building on our reputation for clear, practical, and commercially focused advice, we have continued to grow and this is a great opportunity to take on a new challenge at the forefront of our expansion.
